1. Is the Cheung Kong GSB MBA a full-time program? How long is it?

The Cheung Kong MBA Program is a full time English-language program comprised of one year of coursework and a practical phase for thesis writing lasting up to 5 months.

All courses are taught in English.

5. What is the minimum GMAT score required for Cheung Kong GSB MBA admission?

We do not set a minimum GMAT score for Cheung Kong MBA application. However, most of our admitted students' GMAT scores are over 600. As a reference, the average GMAT score of the 2006 intake is 688.

Cheung Kong GSB provides a Chinese course to all international students throughout the year.

8. When is the admissions deadline for 2008?

Our admission is on rolling basis.

 The deadline to submit your application documents for the interview is August, 2008.

9. Is there an age limit for applicants?

There is no age limit for applicants. The average age of our MBA students is 30, ranging from 24 to 36.

10. Can I contact Cheung Kong GSB to confirm receipt of my application?

11. How soon will I receive your decision? And how will I be informed?

The decision will be made in about two weeks after the interview. You will receive the decision both by mail and email.

12. Can I submit more than two recommendation letters?

Two recommendation letters are required for the application. You can submit more than 2 recommendation letters. However, it is not the quantity of recommendation letters that counts. More recommendation letters do not increase the odds of acceptance.

13. Can I defer admission?

Usually Cheung Kong GSB does not grant deferred admissions. Applicants need to reapply if they cannot attend during the time specified in their acceptance letters. In some special cases, admitted student can apply for a one-year deferral due to personal reasons.

The application fee for 2008 admissions is RMB 500 or USD 80.

The tuition fee for the 2008 admission is RMB 240,000, which includes a non-refundable registration fee of RMB 30,000.

19. Does the Cheung Kong MBA program require a laptop computer?

For the convenience of study, we highly recommend that students have a laptop. Some desktop computers are available in the school area for free use.

20. Do I need to buy textbooks?

The tuition fee of RMB 240,000 does not cover textbooks. Typical textbook and case study expenses are around RMB 6,000.

21. How is the on-campus housing at Cheung Kong GSB? Can I live off-campus?

22. What sort of leisure facilities do you have on campus?

Students can access a gym, swimming pool, bowling, tennis, squash and other facilities at Cypress Hotel (where the Shanghai campus is located) at a discounted rate.
