Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business's greatest strength is its growing number of world-class faculty members. They have chosen to join Cheung Kong GSB on a permanent basis because they believe that Cheung Kong GSB provides the best platform for cutting-edge teaching and research on competing and collaborating in emerging markets in China and Asia. The majority of the full-time faculty members at Cheung Kong GSB also have extensive experience consulting for corporations in China.

This unique and diverse faculty portfolio makes it possible for Cheung Kong GSB to deliver a world-class management education integrating the global management theories that underlie management education with real issues faced by Chinese businesses. Over the past five years, nearly 30 faculty members have joined Cheung Kong GSB from some of the world's top business schools, including INSEAD, Wharton, Stanford, and Yale. The size of the permanent faculty is expected to reach 45 by 2010.

Thanks to the strong financial commitment from the Li Ka-shing Foundation, Cheung Kong GSB has created two research centers: The China Business Research Institute and The China Case Center. Research and scholarship activities conducted at these two Centers are dedicated to advancing knowledge that can be translated directly into classroom learning. Cheung Kong GSB faculty members regularly publish in top academic journals, thus keeping their intellectual productivity current. In addition, they have taken on many research projects related to pressing issues faced by business in China and the emerging markets. More than 70 high quality cases have been developed.
