Introduction
Dr. Li is a professor of economics and emerging market finance at Cheung Kong GSB. He is also an associate professor at the Darden Graduate School of Business, University of Virginia. Before coming to Cheung Kong GSB, Dr. Li was a research associate at the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research and taught at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
 
Research Area
Dr. Li has conducted research across a number of fields on topics including comparison of reform strategies and economic performance in China and Eastern Europe, the impact of managerial incentives and market competition on firm performance, the linkage between financial market development and taxation, valuation in emerging markets, corruption, and telecommunications privatization.
 
Achievements
His research has appeared in international journals, including the Journal of Political Economy, American Economic Review, Rand Journal of Economics, Journal of Law and Economics, Journal of Public Economics, and Journal of Comparative Economics. He is also an author of the book, "Investing in Emerging Markets," published by the CFA Institute (formerly the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR)). His research results have also been featured in Foreign Affairs, New York Times, Los Angeles Times and CNNfn.
