Study abroad programs are available across the spectrum of Cheung Kong GSB programs, including MBA, EMBA, and Executive Education.
Nearly half of the students in each Cheung Kong MBA class enjoy opportunities to spend a semester studying at one of our partner schools, which include Darden, Haas, Carlson, Instituto de Empresa, EM-Lyon, Seoul National University, and Indian School of Business. Each year MBA students also enjoy a trip within Asia, visiting companies and meeting with key business leaders in the region. EMBA students participate in annual study trips to North America, Asia (Japan-Korea), and Europe, enjoying lectures at top universities as well as visits to leading companies.
The Cheung Kong Executive Development Programs are leading out with innovative global programs that push traditional boundaries. The annual China CEO Program, launched in 2006 brings together over 30 top China CEOs for a series of four week-long modules that meet in Hong Kong, New York, Paris, and Beijing. Key partner schools include INSEAD, Columbia, and Wharton. Participants include Alibaba Chairman Jack Ma, Mengniu Dairy Chairman Niu Gensheng, and China National Offshore Oil Corporation President Fu Chengyu.
In 2007, Cheung Kong GSB launched the China-Korea and the China-India CEO Programs, which bring together top executives for reciprocal meetings first in China and then in Korea and India. Key partners for these programs include Seoul National University, INSEAD, and the Confederation of Indian Industry.
Between September and November 2007, almost 150 EMBA students took part in the overseas program of lectures and company visits in Asia, Europe or America, visiting top business schools in each region. Each two-week program gave students an insight into entrepreneurial life in highly successful and representative businesses, with students meeting high level executives. Their introduction to learning methods and management theory taught by the best B-schools around the world: Seoul National University, Waseda University, INSEAD, IE Business School, UCLA Anderson, and USC Marshall, have no doubt provided lasting and practical memories.
